ECLESIASTES 3:1 AND HUMAN CONCEIT

"There is a time for everything, and a season for activity under heaven."--Eclesiastes 3:1

"Conceit spoils the finest genius. There is not much danger that real talent or goodness will be overlooked long; even if it is, the consciousness of possessing and using it well should satisfy one, and the great charm of all power is modesty."--Louisa May Alcott

Note on FB encounter:

 Ilokano literary ayatollahs?

That moment came, that time presented itself, that rare opportunity for conversation on the sad narrative of the unfinished house by the sea. But that moment vanished like a bird that flew away, flew away, carrying the nuggets of enlightenment and redemption.

If only they were not mocking, if only they were not ridiculing, if only they were not spoiling for a fight.

If only they were more civil, if only they were more respectful.
