THE CJ DID NOT STEAL FROM GOVERNMENT COFFERS?
Did the ousted Chief Justice Renato C. Corona attempt to steal money, not from government coffers, but from the relatives of his wife Cristina re the Basa-Guidote enterprise? Why was he keeping the money allegedly from the sale of the property of the enterprise? The erudite Ilokano senator Juan Ponce Enrile, chair of the Senate Impeachment Court, said the Chief Justice should have classified the money as liability in his Statement of Assets and Liabilities and Net Worth.
