"RESPECTED" ILOKANO WRITERS AS JUDASES
They came, they saw, they ate at our table. That was during the 5th Timpuyog dagiti Mannurat iti Iluko iti Filipinas International Literary Conference at the Mariano Marcos State University, Laoag City, last May 24-26. We welcomed them with open arms. After all, they were our brothers in the so-called vineyard of Iluko creative writing.
They were supposed to be ilustrados, rare enlightened mannurat. Alas, they played Judases with gusto/ true to the form of their elders in the gunglo,/ who stabbed fellow writers inside the patta in Suso.
